Sleepy Hollow Inn & Ski/Bike Center, a family-owned business in beautiful Huntington, Vermont, is seeking a friendly and reliable Innkeeper to join our team. We host weddings, events, and offer both lodging and cross country skiing year-round, nestled right on our scenic trails.

This is a part-time position (approximately 20–25 hours per week) that includes full-time on-site living.

The Position: As Innkeeper, you’ll live on-site in a charming private basement apartment with a full kitchen, two spacious rooms, and a bathroom. Laundry facilities are also available on-site. Cross country ski and mt. bike trails are literally just outside your door, and you'll have access to our year-round outdoor activities.

Your Responsibilities:

  • When guests are staying at the Inn (mostly weekends) the innkeeper should be present at the front desk from 6 PM - 9 PM, and on call from 9 PM - 8 AM.
  • Regular tidying of the Inn.
  • Weekly laundry, watering flowers, woodstove loading.
  • Assist with breakfast for inn guests when scheduled.
  • Winter duties include working the ski shop during evening hours for night skiing.
  • Other duties, such as daytime work in the ski shop or help with weddings could be added on for extra hours. 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Weekend availability is a must.
  • Excellent with guests and customer service.
  • Enjoys being part of a small, family-run business.
  • Owns a 4WD or AWD vehicle for winter driving.
  • Enjoys cozying up with a wood stove.

Compensation:

  • Monthly stipend: $625 (payroll taxes deducted)
  • On-site lodging: Private apartment included (valued at $1,300/month)
  • Annual bonus: $1,000 upon successful completion of each 12-month period
  • Additional hours: Paid at $22 per hour, as available
